El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America yet it is a renowned global coffee origin. Almost all coffee produced is shade grown, maintaining the biodiversity of the country. Bourbon, Pacas, and Pacamara are three of the most common varietals grown in El Salvador, grown at a broad range of altitudes, benefitting from rich, volcanic soil, and high rainfall between May and October. The harvest season typically runs from December to March, peaking in January. For our El Salvador limited selection, we've chosen complimentary yet distinct coffees. Finca Atzumpa by Old Spike displays all the best typical characteristics of El Salvador origin. Grown at 1,375 meters above the sea level, these beans are the highest grade of El Salvador coffee bursting with honey-like sweetness & refreshing cirtus fruity acidity. Finca El Salvador Piemonte by Volcano Coffee Works is a very light and clean coffee examplifying the typical caramel/honey-like sweetness characteristic of El Salvador origin beans.
